SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos III ‘the Great’, 223-187 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 17.00 g, 1 h), ΔI mint, after circa 197. Diademed head of Antiochos III to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; in exergue, ΔI. SC 1112. Boldly struck and with a very attractive late portrait. Very minor die breaks on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
